lyrics
Sauin
In the forest, deep within
There are people raised in sin
They live together, all around
Dancing on the sacred ground
Hollowed seasons, hallows eve
People worship holy trees
They bless our creatures, bless our crops
We praise them for all they brought
Start of winter, end of spring
The gods provide everything
We pray for harvest, we pray it last
For we don’t know if it’ll be our last
Outside the forest, outside our womb
Lies a village shroud in doom
They wish to end us, our way of life
To persecute in his light
And so they stand and judge
My body crackles, breaks
They burn me at the stake
The modern man sees me as a sinner
They fear what they see
They are confused, they never wanna linger
But wanna force their beliefs
My ancient people, harken peace
To live in harmony
Despite our protest, despite our cries
These holy men just despise
And now that I am dead
Tortured statues are placed
The desecrate my grave

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
OMG, late to the party but this is some of the best occult infused doom stoner tackle I've ever heard. Reference points include Sabbath (obvs), especially with the Ozzy-esque vocals but there's also the melodiousness of early Heep mixing with a more contemporary occult rock sound. It starts in the 70's and makes it to the present day. The riffs are huge but it's their way with a hook that elevates this from your average doom/stoner fare. Very wonderful indeed! egg-magoo
More cathartic, atmospheric heaviness from the German doom metallers, balancing no-nonsense hooks with proggy flourishes. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 14, 2023
this their most solid release to date, there other records are all insanely brilliant, you should buy them if you enjoy this for sure. keep kicking ass and putting some of the best sludge this decade. Ryan Graham
